The Coopers Plains Baptist Church will hold a Lenten fish fry.

The menu will include fish, choice of macaroni and cheese or french fries, cole slaw, roll and butter, and beverage. The cost is $6.50 for a regular dinner or $5.50 for a half portion. Pie will be available for $1. Takeouts will be available.
The Rotary Club of Corning is accepting applications for several scholarships of $500 to $1,000 for graduating students who will be continuing their education. Students graduating from Corning East and West, the Greater Southern Tier Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Coopers Plains, and Corning Community College are eligible.
The Corning Rotary Club Scholarship recognizes students who are continuing their education beyond their present graduation, and have demonstrated an ongoing, significant commitment to community service during their educational years.
Applications are available at high school guidance offices, GST BOCES at Coopers Plains, Corning Community College, the Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning and online at www.pennynet.org/rotary. The deadline for applications is April 30.
The Chemung County Youth Bureau is accepting nominations for the Daniel J. Donahoe Award and the Program Excellence Award. The awards recognize the outstanding work of people and programs for providing quality youth services in Chemung County.
The Donahoe Award is given to an adult to recognize and honor their contribution made to youth and families of the community. The Program Excellence Award recognizes the special efforts of local youth service projects, programs or events that serve the youth of Chemung County.
